Swagelok Impaction Facility Expansion

The Swagelok Impaction Facility transforms raw metal bars into custom highly precise fittings and valves.Operating this dedicated forge gives the company direct command over material design and supply chain quality from the very start of production. The facility uses heavy industrial impactors, mechanical and automated presses with custom dies.During the project, the facility made upgrades to current areas as well as the addition of nearly 19,000 square feet to host a new automatic press, maintenance pit and associated cranes. It also saw the addition of dock space, floor space, and the relocation of equipment.

Ullman Electric was involved from site preparation until commissioning of the new space. Working with Independence Construction, the Solon project kicked off in May of 2025 and was completed in August of 2026. The electrical package included the re-integration of existing equipment, expansion to the bus duct system, new medium and low voltage gear, generator and lighting. Systems, including fire alarm, were integrated into the existing facility to create a seamless flow from the “old” structure into the new expansion area.
