amazon fulfillment center electrical contractor

Ullman Electric was awarded the contract to help construct the very first Amazon Fulfillment Center (CLE2) in the Greater Cleveland region on the site of what used to be the old Randall Park mall.

Type of Project: New Construction
Location: North Randall
Completed: August 2018

Working closely with other contractors and with the general contractor, Clayco, the center came to life over eleven months of construction. Working six days a week, Ullman Electric employed 107 electricians at the peak of construction, working on important electrical infrastructure, distribution, lighting, branch circuiting, fire alarm, and lightning protection which are used to power a giant like Amazon’s needs.

Powerful fact:
There are over 26 miles of conveyors in the Amazon building!

Ullman provided a total of 119,00 man hours which spanned over the preconstruction phase, project groundbreaking, construction, and through the fulfillment center grand opening in August of 2018. Ullman currently still serves in a limited maintenance capacity on this enormous project containing 2.7 million square feet (with a footprint of 885,000 square feet), utilizing over 9,000 light fixtures, and hundreds of miles of conduit, wire, and cable.
